    Description

I wanted to make a copy of my U.S Army Military Police helmet that was issued to me while assigned to the 26th. Support Group \ 529th. Military Police Company, USAREUR.
During my service, I obtained an older steel pot M1 helmet with USGI decal (water type) during time in the unit, After getting out of the U.S. Army, I couldn't find the correct looking decal anywhere, so I sat myself down and made my own. It isn't a 100% perfect\correct copy, but it is better than any you will find anyplace else.
In the early 1980's, Helmet liners were contracted out to a local body ship, they were also made by select soldiers of the unit, they also were made by the supply section of the unit. There was also a group of liners that were made by a group of untrained soldiers, who did a really poor job.
The picture shown is of the reproduction decal on a helmet, I don't print these myself, so supply is limited.  The 529th. was the USAREUR Honor Guard and wore an honor guard tab\rocker over their shoulder patch. Normally the tab was not used on the helmet liner, I just liked the look. The decal is two parts, so you have the option to use it or not.
Some people will notice that the orange band of the rainbow on the decal is not there, it wasn't on the original decal that I copied.
In order to get the decals I needed for my project, I had to order more than I needed. There will not be any more produced.
