Nice 1863 Rutland Railroad Pass Signed By Jay Gould Jr. (Bold Signature)

I picked up this great piece of ephemera several years ago and have decided that it's time for it to have a new home.  This railroad pass was signed and issued by the notorious railroad baron, Jay Gould Jr., well known for his dubious financial and railroad ventures during the 1800's.  The pass allowed H. G. Litchfield, an engineer for the MMR&B Raiload, to travel freely on the lines of the Rutland and Washington and Troy and Rutland Railroads during the year of 1863, right in the middle of the American Civil War.   A similar railroad pass signed by Gould, dated 1865, was sold for 50 a few years ago.  But I want to see this great historic item belong to someone else who truly appreciates it's scarcity and have priced it for about what I paid for it.
