The signed document is dated June 15, 1881, and comprises a Land Release signed by Frederick Douglas and recorded in Land Office of the District of Columbia. Douglas was an American Abolitionist, Writer, and Lecturer. He escaped slavery in 1938. Founded the News Paper North Star and published his autobiography in 1845. He was an Advisor to Abraham Lincoln during the Civil War. Professionally framed. 15"x15". Glorious in every respect.
