    Description

Gettysburg Court Document with James Wade signed Witness Statement To a Murder.
This is a witness deposition taken in the town of Gettysburg on July 15, 1839. I did not transcribe the whole document but there could be some other witnesses but the main witness seem to be James Wade , father of Jenny Wade. This was a shooting that took place at the major Pollard Tavern in Fairfield Adams County PA earlier that year. I doubt there are any signatures around of James Wade. It is an excellent condition there doesn’t seem to be any serious damage at all it’s been folded up all these years and it opens up nicely it’s fairly easy to read I just haven’t had the time to transcribe it to paper which would’ve been a good idea. This is not a cheap document so don’t think you can make an offer lower than my starting bid. I would assume the signature of James Wade could be very valuable as he was the father to Jenny Wade who wasn’t even born yet.
